The new Corvette C7

What do you guys think of the new C7 Corvette? I know that people has different opinions on this topic. Some say that it looks like a mix of between a Viper and a Camaro.. Well I don't know about that that but for sure it is different from the C6.

What do you think?

Cheers MB.

I know a lot of guys say they don't care for the back lights but I also remember the first year of each generation people saying it was a disaster. It just takes getting used to. I absolutely love this design. It was time for a new look but it still is unmistakably a Corvette. I've owned C2s, C3s, C4s, and C5s and I will some day get one of these.

The C7 is, in my honest opinion, the best looking Corvette since the C2 Stingray. I love all Vettes, but this past weekend I got to sit in the driver's seat of, and get a really good look at 2 different C7 Stingrays. When you sit in it, it feels very similarly laid out to my C6, as in everything is where they left it, but that is where the similarities stop. Every bit of the interior was wrapped in very nice suede inserts and fine, upscale leather. The center console had real polished aluminum on the shift knob and on the trim in between the buttons for the radio, climate control, and satnav. The two that were on display did not have a ton of carbon fiber, but enough to remind you it is a sports car without making it feel gimmicky. The seats are very comfortable, neither of the vettes had the competition seats, both had the touring. That said, they are exponentially better than the seats in my C6, they manage to be comfortable while also making me feel like I was actually sitting in a bucket, GT seat. Basically, the interior feels familiar, but in a much nicer way. As for the exterior, it is hard to see all of the very fine creases and stretch marks that they have put into the C7's design from photos. Up close, it looks kind of like a C6 and a Ferrari 458 had a child, which is perfectly fine by me. The shape is unmistakably Corvette, but the lines and the deep creases on the hood make it look much more exotic and for lack of a better word, fast. All together, I love the new design, I agree with the statement that Bob C made, it will just take some time for the "purists" to fall in love with it, (remember the fiasco with the C6 having set head lamps as opposed to pop ups?). I think this Vette will undeniably be on eof the best cars on sale today.

Absolutely agree with Bob and Fred here.. People are so conservative of almost anything new. Personally I like the C6 better but I am not saying that the C7 is ugly! (As i have heard on other forums..)

I was at the Prescott Corvette Show yesterday and GM provided a C7 for all of us to dream about. It was gorgeous and looked very much like a Corvette. We had about 275 Corvettes entered and "BUZZ" won 2nd place in the C5 class in by far the most competitive class. There were so many beautiful C5's I was shocked.
